Nursery Therapy

Did you catch the post on Nursery Therapy this morning? Here are some pics of a well-established artist/,modern designer's baby's nursery. She wanted to avoid baby pink and this is what she came up with. You may not dig the style, but her interview is really helpful in how to DIY.

Modern and unique....here is what she came up with.

  1. Oh my gosh. I'm dying. I didn't want the super light pink either so I went with darker pink and green. But, this gives me some inspiration to add some orange in there too.

We have that same rocker and ottoman. I think I'll try to sew a pillow that creates more "splash" -although I think the canopy thing is a little much. Do you?

It's fun though. I like it. I wouldn't do it all, but I like the "fun" room that the baby girl can grow into it.

  2. Definately no on the canopy...it's a little much, plus, it would just come down!!! I had some painting above my changer station, and those couldn't even stay. Kids are kids! but I really like the closet, and the orange!

  3. Wow. I'm so impressed by her closet organization. That is a sight! I would love to have a closet like that. I love that she did it all herself. That is inspiration for me.

I agree, the canopy is a little much.

  4. she has some fun ideas. I love the fabrics (bed, pillows) but the curtains and canopy are both too much for me! the closet is great...and seems doable. not particularly my style but fun. and I don't think I would mind growing up in that room if I were her little girl.
