magic carpet.

Martha Stewart's new magazine, Blueprint, featured these carpet bulletin boards that I think look amazing and would love to try. Easy, unique and resourceful:
With a staple gun and some Flor (interfaceflor.com) carpet squares, you can create a colorful
bulletin board.
* Measure the area you want to convert, and order the foot-square tiles to fit.
* Use a level to draw a straight line on the wall along the bottom of your bulletin board.
* Place the lower center tile, making sure the bottom lines up with your line; staple a brad through each corner, about an inch down and in.
* Hang the other tiles, making certain they're level and snug.

Easy, right? The key is...these carpet squares are backed in rubber, so the push pins can't hurt the wall. Any takers?

  1. I love it! So versitile, and great for color on the wall without painting. Great for pinning up art work, Wall words, or picture of the family for a play room. I am a taker.

  2. Real Simple featured something like this in the February issue on the "fix a room" page. It looked really cool.

I am a taker. You could easily cut out some stencils of animals in a fun print, sew it on the square and have your very own wall art for your baby's room.
