an apology.

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. We just finished an addition over our family room, and I finally feel like I can breath again. I will share pictures of the girls new room one of these days, but I still have a few finishing touches to complete.

When the girls moved rooms, Finn moved rooms (to their old room) opening up a room for the new baby. So I've been day dreaming of all kinds of fun kids spaces.

Here are some things I've been pinning to share with you:

I fell in love with this headboard seen on the happy home, and am trying to convince Ryan to build one for Finn's new big boy room.

You all know I love a great party, and this one from call me badger is not only amazing.. it only cost $54!! Thanks to my cute friend Natalie for emailing me the link!

This quote seen on Modern Hepburn had Ryan and I cracking up. I love it!

I loved these necklaces as soon as I saw them. The girls seriously need one. Ok I don't know about need, but anyway.

I am really wishing I could re-create this kids carwash seen on Hip Hip Hooray. It looks like so much fun!

I was at Nordstrom last night and saw these TOMS for the girls. I wanted to buy them so bad, but refrained since they just both got a new pair. I'm crossing my fingers for more fun styles come back to school.

Finally, this nursery totally caught my eye. It's not a color palette I would normally lean towards with a girl, but I find this very refreshing. It has all kinds of ideas spinning in my brain.

Now if only I could come up with a name. I am really struggling this time around. It's our third girl, and it's really throwing me for a loop. Any great name suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

  1. We have four girls, and names are super hard. My girls are named Olivia (Liv), Naomi (Mimi), Annabel (Bella), and Madeline (Maddie). The options we didn't use are Alice (Ali), Violet (Vi), Amelia (Millie), and Halle. Obviously, we skew toward the traditional.

  4. My mom totally made that car wash. We drag it out of her garage every summer. I'm pretty sure the instructions are on Family Fun. :) The kids love it!

Also, my friend is redoing her 6 year old sons room and I think it is SO cute! Check out her inspiration pallet.

  8. Thanks for the mention! Glad you liked the party. (Call Me Badger)And for what it's worth, we have three girls: Lola (Jane), Isabella (Grace) and Fiona (Kate). That's first and middles. So: Lola, Bella, Fiona. If we had another girl I would name her Eliza. And if we had a boy Simon, Asher or maybe Gilbert. I always wanted to name a girl Scout (To Kill a Mockingbird) but my husband vetoed it.

  9. I'm silly this way, in that I love my girls names but also don't want share. We wanted names that werent common, but not weird. My oldest is Roxy Pearl, my newborn is Haven Jade.
    Good luck with the picking.
I also like Liza, Phoebe, and Gemma.

  10. I have two girls, both names end with an "A" per hubby tradition, but I always loved the name Tabor for a girl. Neither of my girls got it as you can tell. I also love the name Nadia... super sweet name too :)

  12. We weren't sure about Jane's name, so we tried a few on in the hospital, Ruby was one that I was particularly fond of, but I think it is becoming more and more popular. I think if I didn't have already have a Kate, I would name a girl Kat(or spelled Cat). I think it's sassy and cute and not common at all. Naming babies is always stressful, good luck!

  23. What cute pictures. The nursery picture is adorable and yes it isn't a color scheme you would think of for a girl, but it does feel fresh and feminine. Remodels can be so hard on everybody; I can totally sympathize. It feels so nice when they are done and you walk into your beautiful new space. Congrats!

  27. What about Adelaide or Avaline? Something similar? We have a daughter Scout and our next may be Jubilee. Not *so* traditional. Heh.
